Senguttuvan

Senguttuvan was a Chera king who probably lived during the early centuries of the Common Era. He is famous for the legends surrounding Kannagi, the heroine of the Tamil empic Silapathikaram. According to legends, Ilango Adigal, the author of Cilpatikaram was Senguttuvan's brother.
He is known for his war over the kings of Himalayas, Kanaka and Vijaya, Senguttuvan defeated the himlayan kings and made them bring the stones from the Himalayas. These stones are used to construct Kannagi temple near Kumuli.
