Sengkang Punggol Football Club is a professional soccer club which was formed to play in Singapore's S.League in 2006. The club is a merger of two clubs who played in the S.League in past years – Paya Lebar Punggol Football Club and Sengkang Marine Football Club. The club plays its home games at the Hougang Stadium, where both Paya Lebar Punggol FC and Sengkang Marine FC had previously been based.

Sengkang Marine FC was founded in 1981. The club was previously known as Marine Castle United from 1981-2001. The club played in the S.League from 1998 to 2003. It's best S.League finish was 8th place in 2002 and 2003. Sengkang Marine was forced to withdraw from the S.League after the 2003 season due to financial difficulties.

Paya Lebar Punggol FC joined the S.Legaue in 2005, and finished 10th in its debut season. Prior to joining the S.League, the club was previously known as Paya Lebar Kovan FC.
