[edit] I want something else

On this page and the main page it is stated that changing the lyrics from "I want nothing else" to 'I want someting else" somehow lessens the references to drugs. However couldn't the "something else" the narrator of the song wants be drugs? This has always been my interpretation of the song. When life is difficult a person looks for something else to get through that moment, and may turn to drugs such as Crystal Meth. ToyChristopher 19:37, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

That's often been my interpretation as well. The entire section is likely, as regards tone and content, encyclopedic, but surely poorly sourced, so I'll tag it for sourcing; of course, should you find any interpretations in notable publications that we might reference (as we do in sundry other songs), you should, to be sure, feel free to rework the section.
