Selma Middle School, is a middle school of Liberty-Perry Community School Corporation located in Selma, Indiana. Their sports team is named the Braves. As of 2005, the school principal is Dr. Alice Mehaffey, who has served in such capacity since 1996.
In 2005, the school principal, Dr. Alice Mehaffey, was the center of media attention after engaging in a "racy dance" while dressed in short-shorts while dancing to the Village People's "Y-M-C-A" and "Macho Man". During her routine, Mehaffey was handcuffed by a boy dressed as a police officer while she tore the shirt off another boy from the middle school. Disciplinary action was not taken against Mehaffey.
