Seikei University
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Seikei University (成蹊大学 -daigaku?) is private university in the Kichijōji neighborhood of the city of Musashino, Tokyo, Japan. Its name derives from a passage in the Records of the Grand Historian by Sima Qian. The university has close connections with the Mitsubishi Group. Together with Gakushuin, Seijo, and Musashi, it is one of the Four Tokyo Universities. Its campus is noted for its rows of zelkova trees. Despite the similarity of the names, it has no connections with Osaka Seikei University.
The university was established in 1947. Its predecessor dates back to 1906 and was part of the Mitsubishi zaibatsu.
Seikei has four faculties: economics, law, literature, and science and engineering.
