"Sega Phoenix" is a name given by fans to a possible upcoming console by Sega. While Sega has not confirmed working on such a product, it has not denied it either. The name Phoenix has been praised by fans for its symbolism; that is, that it would be Sega's "rise from its ashes" of console failure similar to the mythical bird, Phoenix.
