Sedat Laçiner

Sedat Laçiner (born 1972) is a Turkish associate professor in International Relations, mainly working with the Middle East, with particular reference to Turkish foreign policy. Director of Ankara-based International Strategic Research Organization.

[edit] Earlier life
Laçiner was born in Kırıkkale, Turkey, in 1972. He gained a BA at Ankara University, an MA at the University of Sheffield, England and his PhD at King's College, University of London. He speaks Turkish and English.

Since 2001, he has been teaching International Relations at Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University and Police Academy Security Sciences Institute, Ankara. He gives lectures on international organizations, international relations and foreign policy. Laciner is editor of the Journal of Administrative Studies and Review of International Law and Politics, and has appeared on TRT and other Turkish TV and radio programmes.
Laçiner is the Associate Professor of International Relations and director of the Ankara-based Turkish think-tank International Strategic Research Organization (ISRO).
He was selected a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum for 2006 in the category Intellectuals.
