Second Round is the 2007 sophomore album from former Roc-A-Fella Records/Def Jam and now GOOD Music recording artist Teairra Mari, slated to be released on this March 2007. It has been pushed back because Shawn Carter, A.K.A. Jay-Z, has asked her labelmate, Ne-Yo, to write two songs for her. Teairra is currently in the studio working with Sean Garrett, Ne-Yo, Kanye West, Pharrell, Darkchild and more. The first single Play Me was co-written by Teairra Mari. She co-produced and co-wrote every song on Second Round. On the track "Wait A Minute", Bow Wow is going from one girl to the next. So now they are confronting him. It is planned to be like the song by Monica & Brandy, "The Boy Is Mine". It is also going to be the first single instead of Play Me. This change was caused mainly by label issues, consisting of the fact that Def Jam held the rights to "Play Me" and all promotion. As of now "Play Me" will still be on the album, but we will never see it as a single. This will be Teairra's first album without Parental Advisory.
