Major-General Sebastian Roberts, OBE, has been Major-General Commanding the Household Division and General Officer Commanding London District since 2003.

He was born in 1954, and educated at Ampleforth College, and Balliol College, Oxford.

He is the author of Soldering: The Military Covenant (1998).

Roberts was made an OBE in 1993.

He is the very proud owner of a spaniel named Sambuca, given to him by is brother Nicholas.
