[edit] Grammatical mistakes

Not to overly criticize, but there seem to be a few grammatical mistakes in the text of this welcome message, particularly comma splices. In an article in the main namespace I would normally just fix them myself, but in this case it is a subpage of a user page, so I am reluctant to edit it directly.
