Freshacconci,

Identifying a wikipedia entry as "self-promotional", leads one to believe that the subject has himself created it when in fact, this may not be the case. In addition, making disparaging commenting on someone's "notability", in an industry that you are not an expert in, and without any research on your part, is disingenuous at best. I would call it dishonest and irresponsible.

Your initial comments were snide, insulting and factually incorrect. They leave one with the impression that you are motivated by jealousy and a not a desire to see facts presented objectively.

I thought that I could perhaps remove these comments so that individuals passing by here would not have to continuously be exposed to them. Since you insist on having these false and defamatory statements remain by undoing my edits, they can at least be proceeded by my request to have this silly entry removed.

Incidentally, if I failed the notability test, this entry should have been deleted. If not, then the defaming comments should have been removed. As they say, you can't have your cake and eat it to.

Note: The above comments pertain to several tags and comments appearing on the main ARTICLE & DISCUSSION page, some of which have been subsequently removed.

This is clearly a self-promotional page. There are no citations, just info that reads like promotional material. He's done some minor things in commercial art, but he's hardly notable. Freshacconci 04:31, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

I totally agree. It was nice of a few people to make this page on me, ahem, but I would prefer to not have my bio up for edits by pseudo-marxists that believe facts can be voted on, or altered to suit one's perspective. Please, do remove this article and ban my name from appearing here again. If slanderous or defaming information appears, I will join the rest of the world in suing wikipedia. Perhaps you might consider limiting bios to people that are almost dead or soon to be. Sean

Hey, no offense on any of this. I'm an artist and I'm not notable (maybe some day...). I don't think we need to ban your name or anything that drastic, though. Freshacconci 11:24, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

Look, the fact that anyone can add info about me here - positive or not - is quite unnerving. It's not really fair that I have to watch this page now to check that I won't be slandered or misrepresented at some point down the road. In any case, I would like it deleted. If that's not possible, it should be very short and accurate with verifiable information. Sean - Nov. 30

I'm pretty new here, but there are procedures in place for deletion (safeguarded so people don't delete out of spite or with an agenda). I can start the procedure and see what others think. Freshacconci 15:20, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

I think that it's fine at this point but if you can remove it easily, please do so,

[edit] Requests for Deleting Articles

The subject of this article has asked that the page be deleted and has tried to delete the discussion page, citing this all as a violation of his privacy. I realize confirming that this is actually the person in the article is difficult, but what is the policy for this? If he does successfully have the article deleted, is the information not still archived, at least the discussion page, for all to see? I think that's what's troubling him the most--not the actual article, which has been edited to more-or-less wiki standards, but the discussions of notability, which is perhaps embarassing. (If someone created a page about me--why they would, I'm not sure--but if they did and others piped in that I was a nobody who doesn't deserve an article, how would I feel? And to have that discussion archived indefinitely would be frustrating, especially considering I didn't ask to have an article created about me in the first place!).

So what is the wiki policy on this? Freshacconci 23:00, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
