[edit] College of Architecture, Planning, and Design

Seaton Hall is the current home the College of Architecture, Planning, and Design. The departments of Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Regional Community, and Planning, and Interior Architecture are housed within this College. Currently, the College has 4 majors ranked in the Top Ten in the Nation. K-State’s bachelor of interior architecture/design programs rank fourth, its bachelor of architecture and bachelor of landscape architecture programs rank fifth, and its master of landscape architecture program ranks sixth in the 2006 nation-wide survey of leading firms across the United States.

The K-State interior architecture/design programs have been in the top 10 during all seven years in which the study has been conducted. This is the fifth time K-State’s architecture program has been ranked in the top 10. Both K-State’s bachelor’s and master’s programs in landscape architecture have been ranked in the top 10 in the two years those programs have been surveyed.

Starting in the 2006-2007 School year. The degree programs will be changing with altering all the bachelor programs into master degree programs as first professional degrees. These degrees will be 5+ year programs that start the student off in the undergraduate school and finish in the graduate school. There will also be the creation of a masters of Planning and also a Doctorate in Environmental Design

Students occupy the building's Studios 24/7 throughout the school year so the building is never closed.
