The Sears Centre is an 11,000-seat multi-purpose family entertainment, cultural and sports center in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. Sears Centre will host more than 135 events each year, attracting more than 750,000 visitors annually. The center will be home to the Chicago Hounds (United Hockey League) and Chicago Storm (Major Indoor Soccer League), which start in 2006, as well as the Chicago Shamrox (National Lacrosse League), and an indoor football team in the Continental Indoor Football League, which start in 2007.
The venue opened on October 26, 2006, with the first performances by Duran Duran and Bob Dylan.
The Sears Centre is located near the former site of the Poplar Creek Music Theater, a venue that was also located in Hoffman Estates from 1980 to 1994.
