Sean Michael, also known as Sean Ruegsegger and his stage name Sean Michael Afable, is an American actor, best known for playing the role of Dylan Chiu in Akeelah and the Bee.

He was born Sean Ruegsegger on November 20, 1988, to parents Robert and Gigi Ruegsegger. He has one older brother named Robby. He is of half-Filipino and half-European ancestry, including German, Swiss,[1] and Scottish.[2] He has guest starred on several television series, including the Disney Channel series That's So Raven and Phil of the Future. His first starring role in a feature film was as Dylan Chiu in 2006's Akeelah and the Bee. Besides acting, he is also a singer and hip-hop dancer.
He is a Christian, and actively involved in his church's youth group. He currently resides in Orange County, California.
