Sean Frye

Sean Anthony Frye (born September 16, 1966 in Hollywood, California, USA) is an American actor who starred in Steven Spielberg's science fiction movie E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.
His half-Sister is actress Soleil Moon Frye. Born in Los Angeles to an American actor and an Irish native, Sean Frye was spotted in a toothpaste commercial by director of the film "Fun with Dick and Jane," landing the role of Billy. At age 9 Frye studied with Lee Strasberg at Actors Studio in Hollywood. Father Virgil met caterer Sondra Peluce on one of Frye's film shoots and half-sister Soleil Moon Frye was born soon after. Frye introduced sister Soleil to his agent and she went on to much success. Frye has been estranged from half-sister Soleil since 1989 and she no longer acknowledges a relationship to Frye. Frye co-starred in long running stage productions of "The Petrified Man" opposite Marian Mercer, the La Ma Ma Theater production of "Skyjack '76, Entebbe" (a Drama Critics Circle Award winner), and the screwball comedy "Crazy Marriage." Frye co-starred as Elizabeth Montgomery's son in two consecutive TV films, "The Awakening Land" and "Act of Violence," and also played Laura Ingall's first love interest on "Little House on the Prairie." Best remembered as Steve in "E.T. the Extra Terrestrial," Frye was a world traveler by age 14. Briefly married in 1987, Frye segued into social work following the deaths of two close friends. Frye met his partner, army veteran Michael Alexander, when Alexander issued Frye a parking ticket in West Hollywood. The couple adopted infant son Logan in 2003.
