[edit] Early life

Faris moved from Houston to Parma, Ohio, at age 12 with his mother. He attended Padua Franciscan High School, and was one of the few non-Catholic students on the campus. He graduated with honors in 2000.

[edit] Career

Faris decided to become an actor at the age of 17. He began his acting and modeling career in Cleveland at Barbizon, and later moved to the International Model and Talent Association with Stone Model & Talent.

Three weeks after high school graduation, Faris and his best friend packed their bags and headed out to California. But after three days in Los Angeles, Faris' best friend could not handle the L.A. culture and travelled back to Ohio, leaving Faris behind. After more work towards his future, he was signed onto Michael Bay's blockbuster war film Pearl Harbor with other well-known stars Ben Affleck and Josh Hartnett, in the role of Danny's gunner. It was with this, that Faris' acting career took off.

Faris has starred in many different projects, including two television shows which got canceled after less than one season, Life As We Know It, and Reunion. He has also had small and large roles in many films like remake Yours, Mine and Ours as William Beardsley and guest star roles on other television shows.

  • "High school is high school, but it's not until you get out of high school that you realize that it's just a stepping stone in life. Nothing is easy about high school. I didn't know where I fit. There are so many cliques of people who are popular and who are not. You get too caught up trying to figure out where you fit in the whole scheme of things, but really, it truly doesn't matter. All that matters is that you have your friends who are your friends -- period." Interview with Tim Lammers, July 2004.
