Sean Dempster (born 20 January 1984) is an Australian rules football player from the state of Victoria playing for the Sydney Swans of the AFL. Dempster grew up in the Victorian coastal town of Mallacoota, about six hours from Melbourne near the New South Wales border.

Dempster began playing Australian rules football in 1999 and was recruited by the Sydney Swans in the 2002 National AFL Draft under the father-son selection rule after playing with Gippsland Power. His father, Graham Dempster, played 64 games for South Melbourne.

Dempster played his first AFL game in Round 3, 2005, against the Brisbane Lions wearing gurnsey number 26. Dempster kicked his first AFL goal, again playing the Brisbane Lions, in Round 6, 2006. This goal was kicked from an estimated 55 meters from the goal line, and marked Sean's emergence as a long range goal kicker.

In the 2005 AFL season, Dempster played 22 matches first as a defender and on the wing, including in the 2005 AFL Grand Final premiership team. In that season, Dempster recorded 148 disposals, including 97 kicks and 57 handpasses.
