Seacon Square

Seacon Square is one of Thailand's and probable one of Asia's largest shopping malls.
The mall was opened in September 1994 by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. Construction of the half-a-million-square-meter total area and half-a-kilometer-long building began in 1991. It is a 7-storey building and is located on the Srinakarin Road in eastern Bangkok, with the new Bangkok International Airport only 15 kilometers away. Growth of the population is expected to ccntinue as more communities are going to live in this new area. The shopping Center, with a total area of 500,000 square meters, is landlord to 15 major retail chains and more than 400 specialty shops.

The complex has 14 cinemas all with the latest multiplex screen and a 38 lane bowling alley. On the fourth floor inside Yoyoland are more than 22 rides such as the biggest Wave Singer in the country, a roller coaster and a Flume ride. Some two million people visit Seacon Square each month.
Almost next door there is another mall called Seri Center, a large IT Mall.
