Sea-Host

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sea-Host was a British web hosting company, owned by the 14-year-old brit Thomas Cairns. The company was known for its low price, whilst relatively big hosting-packages, and for large downtime.

[edit] History

As a 12-year-old, Thomas Cairns started the company Webbuild-Oeline, but it went under. Half a year later, Sea-Host was started. The company's website is, according to alexa, the fourhundredthousenth most visited site on the net.

The company was often buggered with hackers, DoS attacks and confusions from the companies that hosted their dedicated server. At one time the servers in France were down for a whole week because the hosting company didn't notice a payment, resulting in the company moving to another hosting company, this one in Britain.
