SEALNet
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
SEALNet (Southeast Asian Service Leadership Network) is a program operated by students at Stanford University dedicated to youth empowerment in Southeast Asia. SEALNet was founded in 2004 at Stanford with the help of SALI, Southeast Asian Leadership Initiative, a non-profit organization in the Bay Area that was founded to encourage development and youth leadership in Southeast Asia.
SEALNet's first project was Project Vietnam 2005. PV05 brought computers to the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union Language Training Center and trained teachers and students how to use the English learning software as well as working with the students to empower them to start their own leadership projects. This year, SEALNet is going on service leadership projects to Thailand (Saraburi), Cambodia (Phnom Penh), and returning to Vietnam (Da Nang).
