This image looks as though it was reduced in size from a larger original using a messy algorithm. The result is that the picture is unclear, and it even appears to be doctored, due to the unrealistic nature of the effects of reduction. This needs to be rectified, as it destroys the credibility and usefulness of the image.—Kbolino 22:55, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

The image was saved and uploaded direct from geograph with no alteration on my part so any "messy algorithm" must have been applied by geograph, and as geograph is a wp-recognized source for pictures I don't quite see what can be done. It is a 91k jpg after all. There are far worse images, and copyright is a far bigger issue than minor quality problems. Deizio 00:38, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
