Category talk:Seattle neighborhoods

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I want to add two neighborhoods to this Category, but when I click on "edit this page" the editing box doesn't contain the existing content, so I can't make "Wallingford, Seattle, Washington" and "Eastlake, Seattle, Washington" go where they should. I may just try entering them naked. I don't find the explanation I need in Help, either. Maybe it's just because I'm not used to using Wikipedia in English. But somebody, please tell me how to do what I'm trying to do or do it for me. Thanks, 20:55, 3 Jul 2004 (UTC) Haruo

To add an article to this category, first write it and place [[Category:Seattle neighborhoods]] at the bottom of your article. It will then appear in this category. Thanks for your contributions! --Lukobe 07:03, 5 Jul 2004 (UTC)

[edit] districts versus neighborhoods

Many articles in this category appear to actually be "districts" like West Seattle, rather than neighborhoods found within those districts (like Alki, Fauntleroy), and even some districts are incorrectly defined (again West Seattle district: does NOT include Delridge, both of which are west of the Duwamish, which contradicts the West Seattle article, and there isn't yet an article for Delridge, which includes at least 6 neighborhoods). Are we going to follow the city's map, or make it up as we go? ref: http://clerk.ci.seattle.wa.us/~public/nmaps/fullcity.htm Lupinelawyer 05:25, 8 Feb 2005 (UTC)
