Seánie McCarthy

Seánie McCarthy (born 8 February 1966) is a former Irish sportsman. He is a former player on the Cork senior hurling team.
Seánie McCarthy, who hails from the Ballinhassig club in County Cork played senior hurling with Cork in the early 1990s. Although never winning medals at minor or under-21 levels, he went on to have much success for Cork at senior level. He made his senior inter-county debut in the 1987 National Hurling League and went on to win two Munster Championships and one All-Ireland medal in 1990. McCarthy also won one All Star Award in 1992.
