From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hello. I have been dabbling with Wikipedia for over a year, but now I have broadband at home I hope to contribute a lot more. The areas I hope to be of use in are the history and geography of Blackpool, linguistics (specifically historical, and possibly certain areas of phonological theory), and French literature. I also very much enjoy correcting typos and spelling and punctutation errors on existing articles, and adding IPA transcriptions where appropriate. I am also a member of the French Wikipedia; I have a first class honours degree in French and Linguistics from the University of Oxford and intend to translate articles to and from French where there are gaps in either encyclopedia (so, for example, a stub in French with an equivalent full English article).
