Scytodes thoracica is a spitting spider. In Northern Europe they can only be found in houses. The carapace is unusual in sloping upwards towards its rear end, whereas the abdomen slopes downwards. It has six eyes. This spider occurs in the Holarctic, and on Islands in the Pacific.
