The Scud Gundam was a mobile fighter in the anime television series Mobile Fighter G Gundam. When the series was translated into English in 2002, the name of the Scud Gundam was changed to "Desert Gundam" for unknown reasons.

Only appearing briefly in a news report in Episode 2, "Roar of the Winning Punch", the Scud Gundam is probably the least touched upon mobile fighter in the entire series. Although it has been logically assumed that the Scud Gundam was the official mobile fighter for Neo Iraq, it is never actually confirmed whether or not it did indeed belong to Neo Iraq. Because of the Scud Gundam's namesake in relation to the Scud missiles utilized by the then-dictator of Iraq, Saddam Hussein, and the presence of several burning oil wells in the background during the fight, and a throwback to the burning of oil fields after the Iraqi military was defeated and chased out of Kuwait by a United Nations task force led by the United States, it is assumed that it does belong to Neo Iraq.

As for the unit itself, the Scud Gundam was easily defeated by Neo America's Gundam Fighter Chibodee Crocket. The Scud Gundam was beheaded in a single punch from Chibodee Crocket's GF13-006NA Gundam Maxter, disqualifying it from the Gundam Fights and setting a new record for the quickest match in the 60 year history of the Gundam Fights.
