The 2006-07 Scottish Premier League season will be the ninth season of the Scottish Premier League. It takes place from the first match on July 29, 2006 to the 33rd match on April 08, 2007, when the league splits in half and each team plays a further five matches against the teams in their section.

The league champions and runners-up qualify for the UEFA Champions League, usually entering in the 3rd and 2nd qualifying rounds respectively. The team finishing 3rd qualifies for the UEFA Cup, as do the Scottish Cup winners, usually entering in the 1st round and 2nd qualifying round respectively.

The bottom-placed team will be relegated, providing the team finishing top of the Scottish First Division satisfies basic stadium criteria.
