Scottie Upshall

Scottie Upshall (born October 7, 1983 in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada) is a professional hockey winger who currently plays for the Nashville Predators of the NHL. Upshall was a member of the 2000 Royal Bank Cup winning Fort McMurray Oil Barons. He was also named 1999-2000 AJHL Rookie of the Year, as well as being awarded the Oil Barons Rookie of the Year and People's Choice Award. After 2 seasons playing major junior hockey for the WHL's Kamloops Blazers,and being name captain of Canada's world junior team, Upshall was drafted 6th overall by the Predators in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. Through the 2003-2004 NHL season Upshall played just fifteen games, scoring one goal and one assist in two seasons. After playing many games in the AHL for the Milwaukee Admirals, Nashville's minor league affiliate, Upshall has logged considerable ice time so far in the 2005-2006 season NHL season. As of April 16, 2006, Upshall has played in 47 games for Nashville and has scored 8 goals in addition to logging 15 assists.
