He played 17 seasons, from 1987 to 2006, for the Hartford Whalers, the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Quebec Nordiques, the Colorado Avalanche, the Anaheim Mighty Ducks, the St. Louis Blues and the Dallas Stars of the NHL. He has won 2 Stanley Cups in his Career.
Young was drafted 11th overall by the Hartford Whalers in the 1986 NHL Entry Draft. Young has played 1181 career NHL games, scoring 342 goals and 414 assists for 756 points.
