[edit] Radio Background

Riggs started his career in radio at KCR (SDSU's College Radio) in 1992 and worked every air shift as well as became the Program Director and Operations Manager up until he left in February 1997. Staying in San Diego, his first Broadcast gig came in 2006 when he got an overnight shift at 102.9 KKBH-FM (The Beach). After that, he landed a gig at 92/5 XHRM-FM (The Flash/Independent Radio) co-hosting the local show (The Local Fix) with his younger brother Jason Riggs, producing the morning show and working weekends for Program Director Mike Halloran. Once 92/5 was bought out by Jacor and changed formats to "Old Skool," he was recruited by his former Program Director, Halloran at a new independent station, 92/1 KFSD-FM (Premium Radio) to host their local show, new music show, an interview show (Coup D'etat) and working various shifts throughout the week. Soon after that station was on it's way to being sold to the big Country station in town, he approached and was hired by one of the most popular rock radio stations in San Diego, ROCK 105.3 KIOZ-FM. At KIOZ-FM, Riggs hosts an alternative, indie rock, new music show (The Inside Track) and a unique interview show (Guerilla Radio) on Sunday nights.
