Scott Matthews

Scott Matthews is a singer/songwriter from Wolverhampton, England.
His first album 'Passing Stranger' was released on March 13th 2006, and the first single 'Elusive' is out in September. The single received much airplay from BBC Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe on his specialist music show ever since he played it in May 2006 as 'The Hottest Record In The World Today. Between 7-10 August, Lowe played the song once each night as his chosen 'Single of the Week', and on 23 August, Matthews came into the Live Lounge and performed live versions of Elusive, and the title track from his album.
He notes amongst his influences a number of artists, most notably The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Led Zeppelin, Joni Mitchell, Marc Bolan and Joe Satriani. His music has been likened to that of the American singer Jeff Buckley.
Matthews has toured the UK extensively in support of his album and appeared in support of the Foo Fighters when they held several acoustic concerts around the country in June 2006.
