Scott MacGillivray (b. 1957) is a non-fiction author.

His most popular book, Laurel & Hardy: From the Forties Forward chronicles the later films of Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy. Some of his other works are Gloria Jean: A Little Bit of Heaven, The Soundies, and Castle Films a hobbyist's Guide.

He has also done DVD commentaries with 20th Century Fox in the Laurel and Hardy DVD Collection Volume 2

He has been the Grand Sheik of the Boston Brats Tent of the popular Laurel and Hardy fan club, The Sons of the Desert for more than twenty years.

Scott has been considered as one of the best Laurel and Hardy experts in the world.
