Scorpi (スコルピ Sukorupi?) is one of the 493 fictional species of Pokémon creatures from the multi-billion-dollar[1] Pokémon media franchise – a collection of video games, anime, manga, books, trading cards and other media, created by Satoshi Tajiri. Scorpi is famous for being one of the Pokémon revealed before the Japanese release of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. The purpose of Scorpi in the games, anime and manga, as with all other Pokémon, is to battle both wild Pokémon, untamed creatures encountered while the player passes through various environments, and tamed Pokémon owned by Pokémon trainers.[2]
Its name may come from scorpion or Scorpius, the scorpion constellation.

[edit] Biological Characteristics
Scorpi resembles an over-sized, pale blue scorpion. Its claws and tail have been swapped, giving it two stingers and a claw tail.
[edit] In the trading card game
Scorpi is one of the Pokémon that will appear in the Diamond and Pearl series of the cards. However the cards now show Scorpi to be a Psychic Pokémon, instead of a Grass Pokémon. [3]
