[edit] Plot

The gang is in Egypt driving to surprise Velma at Prince Omar's worksite, restoring the famous Sphinx. There they meet up with the following: a nomad Egyptian nicknamed "Triple A" by the gang, "Fear Facers" host Rock Rivers, and a nasty Lara Croft-twin named Dr. Ameila Von Butch. After accidentally setting off a trap, the gang is split up. Fred and Daphne try to stop Dr. Von Butch, while Scooby-Doo and Shaggy discovers a Lost City, where its leader, Hotep, is planning on feeding them to a giant monster.

They are two mysteries which are disconnected--but the effect helped make the curse become a reality. Hotep turns out to be a brilliant civil engineer named Armin Granger whom is illegally blocking the Nile River. He is defeated by Shaggy and Scooby-Doo (when Scooby is mistaken for Ascoobis) when they send Hotep's Spirit of the Sand (a monster-size scorpion which is really a giant robot) into the river. What the gang thought to be Queen Cleopatra's ghost and undead soliders turns out to be Velma, and Cleopatra's army of the undead was Prince Omar and his workers. They wanted to scare away any tomb robbers. Velma and Omar didn't count on the gang's surprise visit.
