[edit] Station configuration

The station has one very long platform, and is on one side of the track. The other side is fenced off to separate the track from residential areas and the local youth club. The building itself is historic, and still features its original signage. Trains usually park up along the other end of the platform where the platform is slightly raised, meaning travellers need to walk up along the platform to get onto the train.

The station carpark acts as a local public transport interchange, with buses using the station as a stop.

[edit] Platforms/Service

The station, with a single platform, is mostly un-supervised, with usually three CityRail trains leaving the station each weekday (once in the early morning, twice after 6pm) and two trains during the weekends and public holidays (once in the morning, once at night) as well as one CountryLink train in each direction daily. It also has no CityRail ticketing machines, which means travellers are required to purchase a ticket when they arrive at their location. CountryLink tickets can be purchased from the local community centre.

Platform 1:

  • Hunter Line - terminating services; regional limited stops services to Newcastle.
  • CountryLink North Western - country services to Sydney (1 per day); country services to Armidale and Moree via Werris Creek (1 per day).
