To "scoff" someone is to mock them, or treat them in a derogatory manner.
"Scoff" is a song by the grunge band, Nirvana. It is the eighth song on their 1989 album Bleach. The song was written by Kurt Cobain (credited as Kurt Kobain).
The song is most likely about Cobain's parents, who didn't consider his musical aspirations to be worthwhile.
A live rehearsal of this song also appears on With the Lights Out box set DVD which was released in 2004.
