No, the cropped version wasn't stretched. What you saw on your computer was a problem caused because your browser cache was out-of-date. Typically, something like "Control-F5" will cause your browser to reload the image properly. You will need to do that both on the image page, and on the article page (or you will need to fix your browser cache settings). What happens is the page specifies a certain dimensions of an image. If you change the dimensions of the image, without changing the specified dimensions in the HTML text of the page, the image looks distorted. Wikipedia properly updates the dimensions specified its in HTML. However, your browser cache of the HTML of the page, was not updated automatically. A new person, coming to the page, would never have encountered an issue. I will revert it back. --Rob 19:55, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
