Talk:Science Hill High School
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
SHHS is grades 8-12, not 9-12, as you corrected. See http://www.jcschools.org/shhs/ Bokonon6 00:06, 11 September 2006 (UTC)Bokonon6
On what authority did you correct it to 9-12 Barcode? What is your source for that??? You are adding unsourced statements to an impeccably composed entry. Please stop defacing wikipedia entries. This entire project is based on people posting facts. Get a life. 165.124.165.74 04:16, 12 September 2006 (UTC)GrosseEire

The school is less than 50 years old. As I understand it this is one of the prime criteria for whether a grade school can have it's own page or not. At the very least the page should be merged with it's school district, but the school district is not mentioned in the article. Add to this the recent addition of a personal photo (almost certainly taken by or actually OF User:cleanyounglady and I have to suggest this page should be removed. Bill W. Actually, that's not true. The school is at least 50 years old. I can't find documentation on the date of its founding, but here is documentation that someone graduated from it in 1922 (http://www.people.fas.harvard.edu/~cadden/longbio.html). 74.98.68.97
PS - here's some more information on its origin: http://www.rootsweb.com/~tnwashin/places/schools.html 74.98.68.97 04:49, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
Bill, what is your source for the statement that the school is less that 50 years old? Also, what is your source for the statement that it is a "grade school"? The page clearly says that it has 8-12 grades. Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia. That means that the statements in the articles--and in the editing page--should be factual.
The thing to keep in mind is, Science Hill High School is a real school in the real world. If we were editing a page about a make-up world in a video game (Everquest, for example), we could just make stuff up, but here in the real world, we deal with facts. Sorry--stick to the video games, pal, and leave the real writing to people who aren't little video game fanboys.
