Talk:Sciaenidae
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I've seen the silurus refered to as a memmber of the siluridae family, not Sciaenidae as refered to here. I'm not a biologist or ichthyologist (sp?), but I move to strike this sentance: "The silurus, a large and ravenous fish, which abounds in the Danube, gives daily proof of this phenomenon." Unless someone with propper authority/background can establish what's what. --Dymaxion 19:34, 8 September 2005 (UTC)

- I agree the silurus reference is clearly to a catfish, and so mistaken. Stan 20:35, 8 September 2005 (UTC)
