Scipio II Atreides

Duke Scipio II Atreides is a fictional character in the Dune Universe. The son of Bashar Menelaus Atreides, of a cadet branch of House Atreides, and Romula Atreides, sister to Duke Stuart Atreides the Black. Never expecting to become Duke, he entered Imperial Service, rising to the rank of Levenbrech before becoming Duke on the death (assassination of his cousin Vutier Atreides). He was the great-great-great grandfather of Paul Muad'Dib.
