Welcome to Wikipedia, and I hope your leg gets better soon! I'm sorry if I have been a bit shirty about your nomination of جرمنی for deletion, but it is hot here in Spain! In general, pages which are marked as needing translation should not be sent to VfD unless they have sat around at WP:PNT for 14 days or unless someone has mentioned at PnT why they are not worth translating. The logic behind this is that there are many fixes that we can use for these pages, of which translation and deletion are only two, and it can take a bit of time and thought to come up with the best solution. Feel free to stop in at PnT if you feel like it, an Arabic speaker can come in handy and a Spanish speaker is often useful! Physchim62 16:30, 16 July 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Mini disambig

I totally disagree about your moving of mini to mini (BMC) and making mini a disambig page. The word mini was first used to describe the car, it is stillt he most common meaning of the word and should be the default location of the link. The article also is not only about the BMC car but also mentions the new mini (which has now been spun off into a sub article in line with summary style. It is common arangement on many other articles to have the most common usage of the term at the primary article with an other users link. Miniskirt and miniature figure do not come anywhere close to being as relavent. I intend to move it back. --Martyman-(talk) 03:06, 12 February 2006 (UTC)

That's fine, I mostly did it because the "new" Mini article was poorly named and I wanted to make it uniform. You're right though. --Schrei 18:36, 12 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] MA languages

I'm not taking a stance either way regarding the launguage-versions of Memory Alpha; and while it does appear that the Polish language version never made it very far, the Esperanto version does seem to have some content. Just my 3¢. — THOR =/\= 18:41, 15 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use debate regarding television screencaps

Currently, there is a debate on Talk:List of Lost episodes regarding whether or not use of a 1/30th stillframe visual excerpt next to a list of audiovisual works (such as List of Lost episodes or List of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episodes) is in accordance with WP:Fair use, and has even resulted in the protection of the page.

If you have any opinions regarding fair use on the List of Lost episodes page, please feel free to express them as I believe these two pages are sister projects.

[edit] Image:Creelsboro Natural Bridge.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Creelsboro Natural Bridge.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --– Quadell (talk) (random) 20:53, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
