School for the Creative and Performing Arts

The School for the Creative and Performing Arts or SCAPA is an arts-oriented school in Lexington, Kentucky. It was the top performing school in Kentucky for 2005-2006 in the CTBS scores and in writing. At SCAPA, students have a major (4th grade- 8th grade) and a minor (6th grade- 8th grade). The choices for majors and minors are Art, Ballet, Band, Contemporary Dance, Creative Writing, Drama, Orchestra, Piano, and Vocal Music.
