Schlüchtern is a town in the Main-Kinzig district, in Hesse, Germany, about 30 km southwest of Fulda. It is situated on the river Kinzig at the southwest of a hill called Landrücken. By A66 Frankfurt am Main—Fulda and the Kinzigtalbahn ("Kinzig-valley rail") Hanau—Fulda it is connected to the Rhein-Main-Gebiet.
