Schizophrenic is the first solo album by JC Chasez and was released on February 24, 2004, known for being a member of the music group 'N Sync.

[edit] Album information

After a year off from 'N Sync, Chasez got together with friend and producer Rob Boldt and wrote the song "Blowin' Me Up (with Her Love)" for the Drumline's movie soundtrack. This gave Chasez a feel for what a music career was like outside of 'N Sync for the first time in eight years. Finally coming to the decision to do a solo release, he was a bit hesitant and not sure where he wanted this album to go or to sound like. Chasez wanted to do the music that he wanted to do, so he told his label, Jive Records to leave him alone for a few months and just see what happened in the studio. What came out was a collection of 15 songs, all co-written and co-produced by Chasez, working with producers such as Robb Boldt, Basement Jaxx and Rip Rock and Alex G.

The album was a bomb, but received positive reviews and some critical acclaim. Chasez had the intention to produce a record different in style from that commonly associated with 'N Sync; the result is demonstrated by songs like "Some Girls (Dance with Women)" and "All Day Long I Dream About Sex". The music is a mixture of dance/electronica, live strings and traditional rock and roll, with an '80s vibe.
