Scheeßel is a village and a municipality in the district of Rotenburg, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated on the river Wümme, approx. 10 km northeast of Rotenburg, and 45 km east of Bremen. The village celebrated its 1200th anniversary in 2005.
