Schönebeck is the capital of the district of Schönebeck, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It is situated on the left bank of the Elbe, approx. 14 km southeast of Magdeburg.

Schönebeck is also the seat of the Verwaltungsgemeinschaft ("collective municipality") Schönebeck (Elbe), which consists of the following municipalities (population in 2005 between brackets):
