List of wikis wants wikipedia articles, though. Ah well. Someone else will revert you, too. I gotta go. Anomo 21:39, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Lois03.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Lois03.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Yamla 14:46, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hercules

Sorry about that -- I clicked the wrong link. I've re-reverted the article. —tregoweth (talk) 02:46, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the spelling update. I haven't had time to look that up yet. I'd personally go with Perez also as he is most associated with the title and was responsible for re-introducing the character. The Contest is just my favorite WW story of all time so I remembered that version first. Artemisboy 19:46, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Userboxes

Well, don't create new userboxes, per WP:GUS. You can put the template code directly on your userpage if you want. Adam Bishop 03:01, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Stop accusing me of vandalism

I removed original research. You disagree. That's fine; we'll go to the talk page now.

But do not accuse me of vandalism. It's rude and does nothing to create an atmosphere of cooperation.

From WP:Vandalism, for your edification:

"Vandalism is any addition, deletion, or change of content made in a deliberate attempt to compromise the integrity of Wikipedia. ... Any good-faith effort to improve the encyclopedia, even if misguided or ill-considered, is not vandalism. Apparent bad-faith edits that do not make their bad-faith nature inarguably explicit are not considered vandalism at Wikipedia. For example, adding a personal opinion once is not vandalism — it's just not helpful, and should be removed or restated."

Please also read "What vandalism is not":

Bold Edits - Wikipedians often make sweeping changes to articles in order to improve them — most of us aim to be bold when updating articles. While having large chunks of text you've written deleted, moved to the talk page, or substantially rewritten can sometimes feel like vandalism, it should not be confused with vandalism.

Vandalism is not an accusation to be taken lightly, and I'd appreciate an apology. --Chris Griswold (??) 21:27, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

My first revert on Superman wasn't in response to your edit. I reverted to a version from before your edit and you assumed my vandalism comment was for you. After my comment, you blanked out a section of text. And yes, blanking is a form of vandalism, whether your link mentions it or not. You don't blank out text just because you have an opinion on it. You bring up the issue on the talk page. —scarecroe 22:13, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Source for publicity image

Hi, Can you provide the source information for this image? We need some verifiable information to back up the use of the {{publicity}} tag. Let me know if I can be of any help. Best regards, --Abu Badali 01:33, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the quick reply. But could you provide a link to the press kit or promotional site where this image was published? It's really important to have this information when using the {{publicity}} tag. Thanks, --Abu Badali 04:48, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Lois03.jpg listed for deletion

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Lois03.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. [edit] Fair use on your user page

Hi, Scarecroe. According to item #9 on Wikipedia:Fair use criteria, we can't claim fair use for images on our user pages. You may want to remove Image:Userbox-procreate.png and Image:Ishmael_logo.png from yours. Let me know if you need any help. Best regards, --Abu Badali 22:55, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
