Hi,
there's no need to convert dates from [[27 December]] [[1944] format to [[December 27]], [[1944]] format. Since different people / cultures / countries prefer different date formats, the wikimedia software automatically converts between date formats based on each user's preferences. If you don't like the way you're seeing the dates, you can change that in your preference settings. Also, you should be aware that the date format you prefer is distinctly American, and so it is not appropriate to change it in articles that are more closely associated with some other country, as article Bob Brown is with Australia.
