SCATS stands for "Sydney Coordinated Adaptive Traffic System", a software to manage traffic flows and intersection signal phasings.

The SCATS software package is area based and capable of responding to changes in traffic flow and conditions, adjusting traffic light cycle phases in real-time. It is mainly in use in Australia and New Zealand.
