Scar Tissue is the autobiography of Red Hot Chili Peppers front man Anthony Kiedis. It was released in 2004 by Time Warner Books, and authored by Kiedis with the help of Larry Sloman, and follows Anthony from birth to the present day. It goes into depth of his experiences with drug addiction and stardom and the struggles he still faces today.

The book reached a high of 17 on the New York Times Best Seller List.

One of the main things that Anthony reveals is that he was not, as he claimed at the time, clean during the Californication era of the bands existance. His 'new' sobriety date is Christmas Eve, 2001.

He also pulls quite a few punches towards old friend & bandmate Flea. This is surprising, and has lead Flea to not read the book.
